About the RoleThe Maintenance Coordinator is an administrative operations role for all network maintenance activities, ensuring that ALL network outage tickets are attended to in a timely manner, field teams are dispatched effectively and the customer is kept informed throughout the process. This role is crucial for minimizing network downtime and maintaining a high standard of service by acting as the central communication hub between customers, field teams, and management. You will manage and prioritize all work orders, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and that all maintenance tasks are completed according to established service-level agreements. This role requires strong coordination skills between various internal and external stakeholders across various platforms and teams. The Maintenance coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring successful & continuous service delivery for the business and its customers.Minimum RequirementsProficiency with dispatch and contractor coordination using operational systems and excel-based tracking toolsStrong organizational and customer service skillsProficiency in excel and operational support toolsA strong command of spoken EnglishAbility to manage competing priorities and support multiple teamsAbility to work effectively with internal and external field teams Key ResponsibilitiesCreate, assign, and track all maintenance work orders for the fiber network. This includes scheduling preventative maintenance and dispatching technicians for repairs.Act as the primary point of contact for field technicians, providing them with job details, technical support, and logistical information. You'll optimize their routes and schedules to maximize efficiency.Serve as a liaison between the company and our customers, providing updates on maintenance schedules, repair times, and any service interruptions.Manage and document all work on systems providedFollow through on all jobs until completionEnsure any failed maintenance tickets are properly recorded for reporting purposesMaintain accurate records across platformsVerify contractor invoices and work completion in accordance with agreementsWork Schedule & Compensation NotesThis is a full-time, non-exempt position based on a 40-hour work week.Primarily based in the office around Melrose, Johannesburg.Working hours:2:00 PM to 11:00 PM (Monday to Friday) From the 2nd Sunday of March until the 1st Sunday of November3:00 PM to 12:00 AM (Monday to Friday) From the 1st Sunday in November until the 2nd Sunday of MarchUS public holidays will apply.
