As the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for leading the engineering team, overseeing budgets, driving design innovation, and ensuring technical excellence across all solar and energy projects. You will play a critical role in advising MANCO and EXCO on technical and strategic decisions, while fostering a culture of accountability, development, and continuous improvement.This role will see you:Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of Engineers and technical professionalsOversee the design, modelling, and implementation of solar, storage, and microgrid solutionsEnsure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and design specificationsProvide strategic input to senior management and contribute to business growth decisionsAttend and present at industry events, maintaining strong professional and market relationshipsDevelop maintenance, testing, and quality control procedures for all systems and productsReview and approve technical documentation, budgets, and designsJob Experience & Skills Required:BEng (Electrical or Mechanical) with ECSA Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration essentialPostgraduate qualification in Engineering or Solar Energy advantageousMinimum 9 years experience in engineering, of which at least 5 years are in a leadership capacityProven experience in solar power, manufacturing, or energy systems environmentsStrong knowledge of Helioscope, PVSyst, PV Sol, AutoCAD, and Microsoft ProjectExcellent management, communication, and strategic problem-solving skillsAttention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to drive team performanceWhy This Opportunity?:Lead the engineering strategy for a respected name in the renewable energy industryPlay a key role in shaping innovation and sustainability across multiple projectsBe part of an executive team driving growth and excellenceBased in Cape Town offering both strategic influence and a balanced lifestyle environmentApply nowFor more engineering leadership roles, please visit
