Job Overview:We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Scanner Operator to join our digital solutions team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating Canon scanning equipment to digitize physical documents accurately and efficiently, ensuring high-quality images. This role requires excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve machine or document issues during the scanning process.Key Responsibilities:Prepare, scan, and process physical documents into the electronic document management system.Operate Canon scanners and related software efficiently and safely.Ensure all scanned images are clear, complete, and correctly categorized.Perform basic troubleshooting on scanners (e.g., clearing paper jams, adjusting settings).Maintain scanning equipment in good working order and report technical faults promptly.Follow quality control procedures to ensure data accuracy and completeness.Work systematically to meet daily scanning and production targets.Handle documents with care and maintain confidentiality at all times.Collaborate effectively with the data capture and digital processing teams.Follow instructions and standard operating procedures precisely.Requirements:Grade 12 / Matric certificate.Previous experience as a Scanner Operator or in a digital scanning/document management environment (advantageous).Strong technical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor scanner issues (e.g., jams, feed errors).Familiarity with Canon scanning equipment and scanning software is beneficial.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Good communication skills in English and Afrikaans.Reliable, responsible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.Personal Attributes:Methodical and organized work approach.Quality- and results-driven.Team player with strong interpersonal skills.Takes initiative to identify and solve problems quickly.
