Are you a proactive, detail-obsessed Site Engineer who thrives under pressure and commands the site with discipline, clarity, and control?Do you have the technical knowledge, leadership mindset, and problem-solving drive to execute complex construction projects on time, on spec, and on budget?Were looking for a career-orientated, high-performing Site Engineer ready to take full responsibility for daily site operations, ensuring exceptional workmanship, safety, and delivery on every project milestone.Key Responsibilities:Site Coordination & Execution:Oversee daily site activities, ensuring that work is executed as per drawings, specifications, and the project scheduleSet out and level construction sites with high precisionCoordinate with subcontractors and trades to ensure seamless workflow and deliveryConduct quality checks, identify site issues early, and resolve them decisivelyMaintain accurate site records, including progress photos, diaries, and reportsTechnical Supervision & Quality Control:Interpret construction drawings and translate them into practical, on-site action plansEnsure that construction methodologies follow engineering best practices and SANS standardsMonitor workmanship and enforce quality control proceduresLiaise with Engineers, Architects, and QSs to clarify design queries and prevent reworkPlanning & Progress Monitoring:Assist the Site Agent and Project Manager with tracking program progress and updating schedulesPrepare short-term look-ahead programs and coordinate resources accordinglyAnticipate material, labor, and plant requirements for upcoming activitiesParticipate in toolbox talks and promote a culture of safety and accountabilityStakeholder Communication:Communicate effectively with the professional team, client representatives, and subcontractorsAttend site meetings and provide technical input and updatesReport on delays, risks, and progress with clarity and urgencyJob Experience & Skills Required:National Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management25 years experience on construction sites (building and/or civil works)Strong understanding of construction drawings, site set-out, and tolerancesProficiency with AutoCAD, levelling equipment (total station and GPS), and MS ProjectExcellent organizational, communication, and leadership skillsValid drivers license and own transportWillingness to relocate or travel to various project sites as requiredA hands-on problem-solver who thrives in the controlled chaos of a busy siteDisciplined, focused, and laser-sharp on the details that matterAble to command respect and drive accountability on siteObsessed with delivering high-quality work the first timeA natural coordinator and communicator, unafraid to challenge and correctCommitted to growth, responsibility, and long-term successIf you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly.
