Senior Electronic Workshop Technician

Summary:Under the general direction of the Electronic Workshop Manager, responsible for performing various Electronic workshop related tasks on a day to day basis. The objective is to perform assembly, installation, alteration, repair, fault finding, calibration and testing of electronic equipment.Main Responsibilities:Lead and mentor a team of electronic technicians, providing training, guidance, and performance feedbackPlan and coordinate daily workflow, assigning tasks based on workload and deadlinesConduct inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirementsTroubleshoot complex technical issues and support technicians in effective resolution strategiesPerform calibration and repair of electronic equipment, especially for high-priority or specialized tasksDevelop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for calibration, repair, and quality assuranceMaintain accurate records of calibration data, test results, and maintenance history using specialized softwareCollaborate with the Workshop Manager to identify process improvements and optimize resourcesPromote and enforce safety protocols, fostering a culture of safety and complianceServe as a technical point of contact for customer inquiries and support needsProvide mentorship and technical training to junior techniciansUtilize diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and signal generators to troubleshoot and verify electronic systemsDesign and develop electronic circuits for testing, and repair applications, ensuring functionality and reliabilityMinimum Requirements:Diploma or Degree in Electronics or a related field5 yearsâ experience in a team leader formatProven experience in electronic equipment calibration and repairStrong leadership and team management skillsProficiency with diagnostic tools and electronic testing equipmentExcellent problem-solving and communication abilitiesFamiliarity with quality standardsFamiliarity with calibration standards and procedures (e.g., ISO 17025, ANSI Z540)Unendorsed legal driverâs licenseMust be willing to travel from time to timeExcellent communication skills (English)Planning and Organizing skillsSAP and CRMPC skills â Microsoft Office SuiteFlexibilityAble to build relations with customersSelf-motivated and be able to work with a team
