Role Purpose:Construct and oversee investment portfolios based on investment mandate and client requirements within the Outcomes Based Investment (OBI) philosophy and strategy in order to achieve objectives. Qualification Requirements: Relevant Honours degree (Investment Management, Actuarial, FinancialManagement BCom, BSC etc) Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) (preferred) Regulatory Exam 5 (preferred)Experience Required: 8-10 years experience in investments, direct portfolio management experience and / or investment consulting strongly preferred Exposure to multi-asset portfolio construction Experience in stakeholder management Analytical, communication experience Role Outputs:Manage the investment portfolios (Internal Process) Construct and manage investment portfolios that are consistent with an OBIinvestment philosophy based on the mandate and client needs and objectives. Takes accountability for the end to end portfolio management and managesassigned investment analysts. Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the OBI-related portfolio and riskmanagement best practices Create awareness of the OBI philosophy across Momentum Group and withinthe external investment community in order to foster greater understanding andbuy-in to the philosophy. Ensure that the OBI investment philosophy is embedded and implemented in theportfolios managed. Foster effective working relationships and collaborate within the broader groupand external stakeholders. Monitor and report on portfolio performance as it relates to the solutionsobjectives and investment strategy. Provide technical advice and expertise regarding the portfolio construction inorder to support sales or marketing initiatives. Takes responsibility of all aspects related to the management of a portfolio andhas full discretion for decision making. Manages the relationship with appointed asset managers for specific portfoliosand ensures accountability of the investment performance and adherence tomandates by asset managers. Ensure asset allocation views are implemented and aligned according to the OBIview. Focus on main investment themes and risks with material impact of investmentdecisions (performance, risk, income) in a highly complex environment Takes principal accountability on portfolios, with oversight on portfoliosadherence to mandate Set the research and/ or analysis agenda for the portfolios Provide guidance of processes and systems for the team Create a deep understanding of the Momentum Group investment philosophyand influence the environment (markets and stakeholders)Adopt and enable client centricity within area of responsibility (Client Services) Provide authoritative, expertise and guidance to clients and stakeholders Contribute to the process of negotiating objective and realistic service levelagreements, monitor appropriateness and recommend adjustments Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Actively engage with key internal stakeholders to identify changing client needsand make recommendations to align service offering with client needs. Manage a client service excellence culture which builds enduring relationshipsand allows the team to provide exceptional client service.
