CNC Programmer

The CNC Programmer will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and troubleshooting CNC programs used in the manufacturing of frames and furniture components. The position requires close collaboration with technical, production, and design teams to ensure precise, efficient output. This role is suited to someone who enjoys hands-on problem-solving and continuous process improvement. The successful candidate will work alongside another programmer, contributing to workflow optimization.Key Responsibilities:Create and optimize CNC programs for woodworking machinery using CAD/CAM softwareInterpret technical drawings and translate them into production-ready CNC programsSupport the manufacturing of frames and other furniture componentsWork closely with production teams to ensure efficient designsTroubleshoot and resolve programming and machining issuesCollaborate with designers and technical staff to improve processesMaintain accurate documentation of CNC files, toolpaths, and settingsTest and validate new programs on production equipmentEnsure compliance with quality and safety standardsProvide technical support during productionAssist with machine setup and calibrationTrain operators on new CNC programs as requiredIdentify areas for process and workflow optimizationContribute to team meetings and technical reviewsReport on programming activities and progressRequirementsRelevant qualification in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or similarMinimum 3 years experience in CNC programming, ideally within furniture or manufacturingAdvanced experience with CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar)Experience operating woodworking CNC machinesKnowledge of frame making or furniture production (advantageous)Remuneration:R18 000 - R20 000 Cost to Company*** Only Shortlisted candidates will be contacted ***
