We have the following position available in Germiston: Project Manager – Fabrication CoordinationLocation: Germiston, South AfricaSalary: NegotiableType: Full-time | Office-based | Client-facingRole PurposeWe are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee and coordinate fabrication-related activities for modular process plant projects. This is not a production management role — instead, the successful candidate will work closely with the Production Manager while taking ownership of office-based project coordination, client engagement, scheduling, and commercial oversight. The role is pivotal in ensuring that fabrication deliverables are aligned with project timelines, budgets, and client expectations. Key ResponsibilitiesProject Coordination & SchedulingDevelop and manage fabrication schedules in alignment with overall project timelinesCoordinate internal resources and ensure alignment between engineering, procurement, and production teamsMonitor progress and proactively address delays or bottlenecksClient & Stakeholder EngagementServe as the primary client-facing representative for fabrication-related mattersMaintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractorsFacilitate regular progress updates, meetings, and reportingCommercial OversightTrack fabrication costs and ensure alignment with project budgetsSupport contract administration, variation management, and commercial negotiationsCollaborate with finance and procurement teams to ensure accurate billing and cost controlInterface ManagementWork in tandem with the Production Manager to ensure seamless handover between office and workshop activitiesCoordinate documentation, drawings, and fabrication packages for production readinessEnsure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and delivery milestones Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum RequirementsProven experience in Project Management within a fabrication, engineering, or industrial environmentStrong understanding of Modular Plant Fabrication workflows and deliverablesExcellent client-facing communication and relationship-building skillsProficient in Project Scheduling tools (e.g., MS Projects, Primavera) and document control systemsRelevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or related fieldDesirableExperience working in a multidisciplinary engineering environmentExposure to international project delivery and modular plant systemsCommercial acumen and contract management experienceKey CompetenciesStrong planning and organisational skillsHigh attention to detail and documentation accuracyAbility to manage multiple stakeholders and competing prioritiesResults-driven, collaborative, and resilient under pressureProfessional communication and negotiation skills
