We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Mineral Processing Project Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, coordination, and execution of mechanical and process engineering aspects of mineral processing projects from feasibility studies through to commissioning and handover.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, design, and manage mechanical systems for mineral processing plants (crushing, milling, flotation, dewatering, materials handling, etc.).Develop project scopes, technical specifications, and cost estimates.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (process, civil, electrical, and instrumentation engineers).Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure compliance with technical and safety standards.Oversee fabrication, installation, and commissioning activities on site.Conduct equipment selection, design reviews, and performance evaluations.Ensure projects meet regulatory, environmental, and safety compliance requirements.Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelors degree (BEng/BSc) in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.Minimum of 5 years experience in mineral processing or heavy industrial projects.Proven experience with plant design, layout, and mechanical equipment (pumps, mills, conveyors, crushers, screens, etc.).Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar 3D design software.Strong understanding of project management principles (knowledge of PMBOK or PRINCE2 advantageous).Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.Willingness to travel to project and site locations.
