As a Junior Bookkeeper, youll process accounting journals, perform reconciliations, and prepare VAT returns for submission to SARS.Key Responsibilities:Process and record accounting journals accurately within Xero, ensuring entries align with company and client policies.Perform comprehensive reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts (e.g., bank, accounts payable, accounts receivable) and select income statement accounts, ensuring accuracy in all supporting schedules.Calculate and prepare VAT returns, ensuring compliance with SARS requirements and timely submission.Assist in managing month-end and year-end financial close processes by reconciling accounts and addressing any discrepancies.Provide clients with general bookkeeping support and advice on VAT and accounting processes as needed.Attributes:Strong organizational skills.High accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to work independently.Requirements:Tertiary Qualification in Bookkeeping2-3 Years Experience in a similar roleDriver's License and Own Vehicle (Preferred) Proven experience with Xero accounting software.Proficiency in VAT calculations and return preparation.Experience in balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations.Remuneration:R10,000 R15,000 per month**Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted**
