Technician

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Technician based in Port Elizabeth to provide comprehensive software and hardware support across client sites. This role focuses on maintaining and servicing Electronic Security and Safety Systems, as well as Workforce Management Solutions, in alignment with existing contract agreements.The Technician will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with Service Level Agreement (SLA) commitments, delivering high-quality technical support, and fostering customer satisfaction through timely and effective service delivery.What you’ll do:Medium to High Level Technical Support on systems, hardware and software (Onsite, Remote, Telephonic)Customer Technical LiaisonGeneral Fault Finding TroubleshootingInfrastructure Fault Finding CommissioningProject CommissioningSystem CommissioningTechnical Training (Customer Internal)Technical sales lead developmentService Calls: Support on all hardware/software installed on all sites.Ability to assist HLS with issues in various databases for example SQL Express etcEnsure that the incident/ticket system has been updated accordingly and timeously to ensure tracking is in place for all tickets logged.Constant communication with customers to ensure that they are kept updated on any tickets or service issues being experienced.Small Installations: Project Coordinatingall new installations by makingsure that client knows requirementsas well as meetingdeadlinesMaintenance: Ensure that hardware / software maintenance is scheduled and performed on all relevant equipment/systems as per SLA and supplier requirements. Accurate and up to date maintenance documentation to provide proof of the services rendered.General admin duties include: Timesheets/ Documentation/ Reporting/ Health SafetyTraining – Customer Training, Supplier Training, Training of Technical AssistantsPeer assistance: Assist peers as and when necessary.
