Passenger Vehicle Technical Trainer

Responsibilities:Service Qualification System TrainingTo achieve the Authorized Trainer status as per the timelines, policies and guidelines of the OEMTo primarily drive the Training internally at the OEM and to the Dealer NetworkContinuously monitor the progress of all delegates (internal and external) that are assigned to the training with regards to the online training, written tests, practical training and the practical examsEnsure that the training database is kept up to dateProvide weekly reports to the Head of Technical Support & Training / Aftersales Service ManagerTake full responsibility of the training level stages / events from inception to completionOn completion, ensure all official documentation is completed and submitted timeously to the Head of Technical Support & TrainingPrepare for and maintain the highest-level of technical proficiency and professionalism in all Skill Areas of the trainingManage and maintain the operational integrity of training vehicles for all activitiesManage and maintain the database and offer support internally / Dealer NetworkOffer support for the different training applications internally at OEM and to the Dealer NetworkOffer support for the Training platform internally at OEM and to the Dealer NetworkSupport to the Dealer Network and manage the databaseUtilize all available resources to maintain the highest level of technical proficiencyAssist with the organization and functionality of special tools, hand tools, classrooms for usage, course hardware and components, diagnosis equipment and software updatesEnsure high level of housekeeping is always keptOther Secondary Functions if or when requiredTrainingProfessionally present Technical (diagnostic, product and system related) training courses to technicians in the dealer network if/when scheduledSupport Course Development if/when requiredAdminister written and practical exams when necessaryDevelop self and maintain technical knowledge in relevant technical fields for all brandsManage training schedule if/when requiredTechnical Support / Aftersales ServiceAssist Aftersales Service and Technical Support when neededAssist Dealer Network if/when requiredMaintain effective relationships with all technical staffAlways maintain the integrity of the brand name & OEMRequirementsQualified Technician Petrol and Diesel3 years post trade test experience in a dealership environmentTraining background advantageous but not essentialRequire a high level of both written and oral communication skillsProficient computer use and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to work under pressureAbility to work with a multi-racial workforceSelf-motivated & able to work on their own without supervisionHave excellent planning and coordinating skillsMotor Industry Experience ESSENTIALSpecial RequirementsValid South African drivers license requiredMust be in possession of a valid South African PassportWillingness to work overtime when requiredMay be requested to perform ad-hoc tasks or requirements from time to time Please note only candidates with the required experience will be contacted and considered.
