Mechanical Project Engineer

You will play a key role in managing mechanical design projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring technical excellence, on-time delivery, and adherence to safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Manage and deliver mechanical engineering projects for new and existing mining equipment.Develop design concepts, mechanical layouts, and detailed manufacturing drawings.Oversee the specification, selection, and integration of mechanical components and systems.Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including Electrical, Control, and Production Engineers.Prepare project schedules, budgets, and documentation for internal and client reporting.Conduct stress and fatigue analysis, performance testing, and the validation of mechanical systems.Provide technical support during fabrication, assembly, and site installation.Ensure compliance with mining industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.Required Skills & Experience:Bachelors Degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.Proven experience (typically 37 years) in mechanical design and project engineering, preferably within the mining, heavy equipment, or industrial machinery sectors.Strong knowledge of materials, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical power transmission systems.Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, or AutoCAD).Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
