We’re looking for a friendly, organised and animal-loving Front Shop Assistant to be the face of our veterinary practice. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people and pets, thrives in a busy environment, and pays close attention to detail. You'll be the first point of contact for our clients—whether they’re picking up pet food, booking appointments, or needing advice on products.Key Responsibilities:Greet and assist clients in a warm, professional mannerHandle retail sales of pet food, pet care products, and accessoriesMaintain a clean, well-stocked and visually appealing front shop areaProcess payments (cash/card), handle returns, and issue receiptsProvide basic product knowledge to help clients choose suitable itemsAnswer incoming phone calls and assist with queries or redirect as neededAssist with booking appointments and managing the reception area when requiredMonitor stock levels and assist with stocktakes and orderingSupport the clinical team with general admin and customer service tasksEnsure the shop area meets hygiene and safety standardsRequirements:Previous retail or front-desk experience (ideally in a veterinary or pet care environment)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsGood organisational and multitasking abilitiesComfortable with basic computer systems and point-of-sale softwareAble to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environmentPassionate about animals and client serviceReliable, punctual, and team-orientedBonus Points For:Experience in a veterinary or pet-related retail settingKnowledge of pet nutrition or parasite control productsBilingual or multilingual skillsWhy Join Us?Be part of a compassionate, dedicated team that loves animalsTraining and development opportunitiesStaff discounts on selected products and servicesA rewarding role where no two days are the same
