This role is ideal for a technically proficient and business-savvy professional ready to manage the lifecycle of data products within a two-sided B2B data marketplace. You’ll drive strategy, execution, and delivery while collaborating with product squads and data stakeholders to develop innovative, privacy-compliant data products.Reporting to the Head of Data Product Growth, you will work within established frameworks while gaining experience in stakeholder management, data governance, and experimentation—making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to scale their product leadership career.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute data product roadmap under the guidance of senior leadershipManage product categories or portfolios, including seller onboarding and performance optimisationEvaluate data assets (schemas, quality, integrations)Conduct discovery sessions with sellers and identify monetisation opportunitiesWrite detailed specs for data pipelines, APIs, and integrationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Science, Engineering, Growth)Apply data governance standards and validate security and compliancePresent technical and business solutions to clients and internal teamsWhat You’ll BringBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or similar3–5 years in data-related roles (engineering, BI, science, or data product)4–6 years of product management or strong product delivery in analyticsStrong SQL skills, understanding of data pipelines, and integration best practicesFamiliarity with data governance (e.g., GDPR, POPIA)Working knowledge of APIs, cloud data platforms (Azure preferred), and data visualisation tools (Power BI desirable)Comfort working in agile, fast-paced environmentsStrong communication skills and a business-value mindsetNice to HavePython or Spark experienceExperience in B2B SaaS, data marketplaces, or platform business modelsBackground in regulated industries like finance or healthcareFamiliarity with SLAs, data contracts, or enterprise data agreementsAzure certifications or interest in pursuing themAdvanced degree in a technical or data fieldWhat’s On OfferFlexible work (remote or hybrid)Wellness and continuous learning supportESOP, competitive compensation, and team performance incentivesCulture built around transparency, innovation, and inclusivityOpportunity to work in a strategic role at the core of data monetisationCompany CultureOur client is a global pioneer in secure data sharing and innovation.
