The ideal candidates will have recent experience in hotels or upmarket restaurants, excellent guest service skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, luxury environment.Experience & RequirementsSouth African citizen with a valid ID (non-negotiable)At least 2 years experience in a hotel or upmarket restaurant within the last 2 yearsNo employment gaps longer than 5 months unless valid reasons are clearly providedStrong knowledge of food and beverage service standardsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProfessional appearance, punctuality, and reliabilityAbility to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidaysTeam player with a guest-first mindsetDuties & ResponsibilitiesProvide attentive, professional food and beverage service in line with hotel standardsTake guest orders accurately and deliver food and beverages promptlyEnsure tables, service stations, and dining areas are clean, well-presented, and fully stockedHandle guest queries, requests, and complaints with professionalism and careUpsell menu items, wine, and specials to maximise revenue and guest experienceSupport colleagues and supervisors in delivering seamless restaurant and banqueting operationsEnsure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations at all timesImportant Application NotesApplications that do not meet the critical requirements (South African citizenship, recent hotel/upmarket restaurant experience, and valid employment history) will not be consideredEnsure your CV is 100% updatedAll applicants will attend a virtual introduction interviewAbout the HotelThe President Hotel is on a journey to be recognised as a true luxury destination.
