WatersEdge Solutions is partnering with a market innovator in data commercialisation to recruit a Senior Strategic Sales Consultant. This senior role is ideal for a highly experienced consultant with a strong background in enterprise sales, executive relationship management, and use-case strategy development. You’ll lead significant data trade deals and be instrumental in driving growth, monetisation, and compliance across global sectors.About the RoleAs a Senior Strategic Sales Consultant, you will lead data monetisation initiatives, manage executive-level engagements, and drive adoption of strategic data use cases. You'll act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, work cross-functionally with legal, tech, product, and business teams, and contribute thought leadership in the data space. You’ll also play a visible role in brand representation through conferences and published insights.Key ResponsibilitiesMonetisation Strategy & Executive RelationshipsPartner with senior leadership to deliver high-value data trade deals across major sectorsLead executive-level relationship management across data sellers and buyersDrive and execute monetisation strategies to grow data trade revenueUse Case Strategy DevelopmentDevelop replicable, scalable use case strategies for local and global deploymentEvaluate, test, and implement successful value propositions across verticalsAlign internal teams around client strategies through roadmaps and reviewsInform product development and platform enhancements through feedback and strategyRevenue Growth & RetentionOwn strategic renewals and revenue planning with a value-driven approachSupport upsell and cross-sell through insight-led client growth planningBuild financial models, deliver commercial proposals, and manage client negotiationsThought Leadership & Brand RepresentationRepresent the business at industry events and conferencesMaintain a visible thought leadership presence via LinkedIn and white papersEvangelise alternative data strategy and data cleanroom innovationCorporate Processes & NegotiationNavigate enterprise buying centres and manage end-to-end deal processesNegotiate pricing, SLAs, and contracts with executive and procurement teamsEducate stakeholders on privacy-enhancing technology and compliance frameworksRisk Management & ComplianceProactively identify enterprise and compliance risksSupport client adherence to POPIA, ISO 27001, and data privacy best practicesPipeline & Performance ManagementDeliver accurate forecasts and performance outcomes aligned to KPAs/KPIsWhat You’ll BringHonours degree and 8–12 years of experience in B2B enterprise sales or client successPrior experience in consultancy or executive-level data/analytics leadership (3–5 years)Strong background in SaaS, data solutions, or related consultancyProven ability to sell complex solutions to senior and multi-stakeholder audiencesKey SkillsConsulting, Data Mastery, and Strong Analytical ThinkingStrategic Thinking and Industry KnowledgeStrategy Execution and Project ManagementWhat’s On OfferFlexible remote-first work structure (70% remote)Comprehensive benefits packageEntrepreneurial, high-performing team cultureCompetitive and uniquely structured performance incentivesCompany CultureWatersEdge Solutions is proud to partner with data-driven organisations leading innovation in privacy-first, cross-enterprise collaboration.
